Faculty/Staff
Our experienced and highly trained faculty members challenge and support each student in all areas of academics, as well as in their social, emotional, and physical growth. Faculty members provide a safe and nurturing environment, working with parents to optimize the education of every student. Caring collaborative relationships connect students, teachers, and parents - one of the many advantages of a Detroit Country Day School education.
Many members of our faculty regularly present at national conferences and contribute articles to national publications. Yearly, our faculty receive awards and recognition in their respective disciplines. Approximately 68% of our faculty hold advanced degrees.
Board Of Trustees
Composed of prominent business and community leaders, Detroit Country Day School's Board of Trustees brings strategic oversight to the school's operations and vision.

Thank you to all our current and former trustees for their time and dedication to Detroit Country Day School.
Parents
"By working toward a common goal, parent volunteers often form lasting friendships and make a significant difference to our school and its students."
-Anne Weiner, parent of three alumni, former Parents' Association president and current Board of Trustee.
Parents' Associations
Active and engaged parents bring a special energy to the DCDS Community, working closely with faculty and school leaders to ensure every student receives an extraordinary experience. There are many volunteer opportunities and leadership roles available within the parents' associations. Contact information for parent leadership is available to our current families via our Parent Portal.
Students
Throughout Detroit Country Day School, students learn in an atmosphere that promotes self-confidence and self-esteem, allowing them to become independent learners and thinkers, well prepared for college. Our goal is to develop and nurture the entire child.
The Portrait of the Detroit Country Day School Student is a reflections of the attributes we strive to develop in each of our students starting from the time they start in the Lower School to the day they graduate from the Upper School.
Alumni
For over 100 years, the Detroit Country Day School has transformed students into leaders of character who go on to admirable and honorable accomplishments. Our alumni, more than 7,000 strong, live across the country and around the world and are leaders in the fields of industry, medicine, government, and non-profits for humanitarian causes. They carry the lessons they learn at Detroit Country Day School into adulthood and often look back on their years here as among the most rewarding of their lives.
Our alumni stay connected and get involved through our Alumni Association and various student events. As graduates, our alumni are not only a proud example of our successful legacy, but also a role model for future generations of graduates.
