Annual Fund

Thank you to all of our 2017-2018 Annual Fund Donors! Because of donors like you, we have increased year over year participation in the Annual Fund and raised over $400,000 to support our students each day!

At Detroit Country Day School the needs of our students come first. The Annual Fund campaign helps to meet and exceed those needs, in addition to providing necessary resources that foster a well-rounded, exemplary college preparatory education. A gift to the Annual Fund is one of the most important gifts we ask of our DCDS community because it helps provide immediate support on an annual basis, offsetting the gap between tuition and our operating budget.

We hope you will embrace the expectation of participating in the Annual Fund campaign, as a yearly gift of any size truly helps.

Thank you for honoring the traditions of Detroit Country Day School by making a financial commitment to us and helping to impact our students lives each day.

FAQs

How do I make my gift?

The quickest way to make your gift would be to click our Give Now button on this page.

Can I designate my Annual Fund gift to a specific area of DCDS?

Yes!  Your Annual Fund gifts are unrestricted but can be designated to our general fund, or in the areas of our three pillars - Academics, Arts, or Athletics.

What is the difference between making an Annual Fund gift, and giving to another DCDS fund, group, or event?

Your gift to the Annual Fund is used for areas of greatest need that support and offset operating expenses on all campuses such as updates to technology, facilities, supplying needs of our teachers, and providing professional development to our faculty and staff.  Your gifts to the Annual Fund are readily available and allow us to say "yes" to new opportunities that come our way, as well as equip the school for any unexpected expenses.

It seems like DCDS is financially well managed. Is my gift needed and will it make a difference?

The two main streams of income for the school are tuition and donations. Your gifts to the Annual Fund are needed each year to help off-set operating expenses that tuition does not always cover. Your yearly tax-deductible gift of any size truly helps.

Will my gift be eligible for a tax credit?

Gifts to the Annual Fund are tax deductible and a receipt will be issued.

How can my company match my gift?

If your employer offers a matching gift program, you may be able to double, or even triple your gift to the Annual Fund! To find out if your company has a matching gift program, contact your Human Resources office for more information. If your company has a matching gift program, the Human Resource office will provide you with the appropriate forms to be filled out and then turned in to our Advancement Office.

Who can I contact if I have more questions about giving to DCDS?

You can contact Nikki London, Chief Advancement Officer at (248) 430-3595 or NLondon@dcds.edu for additional giving questions.

Also, Tina Mangalick, Major Gifts Officer may contacted at TMangalick@dcds.edu or (248) 430-1064
