Blue & Gold Club

The Scholar-Athlete Dinner and award recognition honors the scholar-athlete tradition and values in education. The role of education may be to hone one's intellect, but lessons within the classroom paired with meaningful experiences beyond the classroom help build desired qualities of character and discipline. Equally important are the lessons on the athletic field where one learns qualities such as teamwork, dedication, perseverance, selflessness, respect, resilience, and learning to win magnanimously and lose graciously.

Since its founding in 1978, the Club has provided funding for projects such as the Blue & Gold team complex, women's softball complex, Shaw Stadium updates, weigh room equipment, Lower School playground equipment, Hillview Field, baseball and softball cages, field house netting, and most recently resurfacing of the tennis courts.
