DCDS 2019 Jacket Bracket Alumni Challenge 

 

Next month, March 11-22, , join us for some friendly class competition with our first Jacket Bracket Alumni Challenge. Held in conjunction with our in-house student March Madness tournament, alumni classes will compete to raise the most money for the Yellowjackets. Alumni Spotlight: Jay Larson ('03) and Mick Larson ('04)

 

Jay and Mick started their organization, Tunapanda (TP), in 2015. TP is an educative institution delivering three month intensive learning experiences in tech, design, and business to students in East-African communities. There is no cost to the trainees, and the organization has graduated over 100 young people. Through extensive interview, resume and business pitching coaching, over 85% of  graduates have gained meaningful employment.

Host a 2019 Senior Project

 

In the spirit of senior project, we would love to have DCDS alumni host current seniors for a senior project this spring. The internship experience runs for the month of May and is meant to give seniors a chance to experience a career interest and gain professional skills before heading off to college. If you have an interest in hosting a senior, please sign up. Annie Thomas will follow up.

Chris LeFlore Fund 

 

The Chris LeFlore fund is a new initiative to help provide financial support to students wanting to broaden their DCDS experience. Students apply for financial awards that can go toward faculty sponsored activities. Support the fund here and select Chris LeFlore fund.
