A world of experiences, relationships, & rewards. It's more than what I achieve. It's who I become.

Upper School
Grades 9-12
Detroit Country Day Upper School students belong to a vibrant intellectual community filled with challenging, broad, and meaningful daily experiences. Reflecting our motto, mens sana in corpore sano (a sound mind in a sound body), students engage in two sports or major activities alongside clubs, performing arts, and academic competitions. Graduates leave equipped with lifelong lessons that alumni say sustain them for years to come.
Our comprehensive college-preparatory curriculum features Honors and Advanced Placement courses across all disciplines, empowering students to engage in their learning, pursue their passions, and build independent problem-solving skills. Supported by an advisory program where mentors serve as a guiding north star, our dynamic classrooms foster critical thinking, social confidence, and emotional growth.
Here, students learn to unlock the best version of themselves.
