Annual Giving

The Annual Giving campaign is an essential program at every private school. At Country Day, the Annual Giving ask is a top priority and is usually the first appeal to parents, alumni and friends in the fall.

Purpose
Funds secured through the Annual Giving campaign are typically unrestricted contributions given to the school. Tuition revenues cover roughly 83% of the cost of educating a child at Country Day. The Annual Giving funds are used in the upcoming budget, at the discretion of the school’s administration, and help make up the difference between the tuition and the actual cost of educating a child at Country Day.

These funds help provide the much needed edge, enabling a broader more well-equipped curriculum.

Making a Contribution
A growing annual giving program in size and number of contributions is a sign of strength of the school. Every gift is important. A gift is a vote of confidence in, and support of, the school by the donor.

Every year parents, alumni, grandparents and friends are asked directly to make a contribution to Annual Giving, and in this way provide for the school's challenging program.
